When a viewing couldn't go worse. :(

I had a viewing on my house scheduled for 12pm today. I had given myself time to tidy the place, nothing major but we have dogs so the place always needs to be swept and dusted immediately before a viewing. Unfortunately the dogs had gotten their paws on some leaflets or something which had blown over the fence and ripped them apart all over the garden and then came inside and put their muddy paws all over the walls, I was delayed cleaning this.
I was scrambling around trying to tidy the place and just had to finish sweeping the floor when my husband vomited in the hall, then ran, still vomiting through the kitchen and out into the back garden. (He has an incredibly weak stomach and does this regularly.) I was pretty freaked out as it was 11.50am, my husband came in to clean up where he'd been sick while I kept sweeping, then ding-dong the buyer and agent showed up early.
I asked my husband to ask them to wait two minutes while I finished sweeping the hall and main livingroom. While doing this he left the dogs out of the porch so they ran through the pile I had swept and bits of puke re-dirtying the hall. I lost it and told him to get the dogs back out to the front of the hall, as they were mucky and I'd have to clean up after them again. He completely ignored me and said we should just let the vendor in as the place was.
I lost it and yelled at him a couple of times, he kept getting in my way as I tried to do things. I managed to get the floor swept marginally better, the dogs on the lead and out the door where I apologised to the agent and viewer saying I'd been sick all morning as I was worried the place smelled a bit of sick. My husband and I have been arguing ever since.

OP,
Sorry for your disastrous viewing. However, your comedy of errors made me LOL.
I would suggest you are better prepared next time. Suggest OH and dogs are absent for the next viewing. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
Get your OH to tie a bucket around his neck, so he'll have something to chunder into next time."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

You live and learn! I'm sure the viewers got to see enough to get a feel for the place, whatever about the little mishaps. Forget about it and move on. If they are the right people they'll be back. After all, location and size are what matter.Stercus accidit0

sounds like an episode of george and mildred0

Oh Bless you, that must've been horrific!
I have a Golden Retreiver, and I know what it's like trying to keep on top of the mess they make. He's a water baby aswell, and he is always looking for the muddiest, smelliest puddle to roll around in!
Not ideal when you have viewers coming round. Better luck with the next viewer.xxDFW #414, MoneySaver, Income Booster

I have to agree, your post made me laugh. What a nightmare for you! I think that if someone liked the house, all that would not have put them off!0

My darling daughter (aged 10) was at home for one of our viewings. She insisted on being nosey and followed us down to the garage...
Now, last year in Blackpool my OH bought me a parrot keyring that swore like a trooper, much to the amusement of the kids. In the end he got hung in the garage.
Enter the viewers into the garage, DD grabbing parrot and before I could shout "No!" she had pressed the button to which it loudly yelled "Polly wants a !!!!ing Cracker!"
I was horrified...luckily they saw the funny side!!!!
I also had an amusing moment when viewing a house when the owner told us she had a "dildo rail" in the bedroom. I couldnt look at OH because I knew we would both collapse...0 -

Perhaps I should just write a comedy about selling a house.:o0
