After Nationwide's problems with their 10 randomly thought up security questions which lots of customers couldn't remember the answers to, they are bringing in card readers.
Great! Nationwide is who I have my other bank account with so I will have 2 card readers to lose instead of one.
I thought technology was supposed to make things easier0 -
Are all banks doing this? I am with Natwest and hadn't heard anything about this until I received the reader and a letter in the post.
All the big banks are introducing card reader (or similar) technology.
The only exceptions are First Direct and HSBC who have ruled them out as they don't believe they are convenient for customers or secure (as similar systems have been broken abroad) and Abbey who haven't yet decided if they plan to roll them out or not.
