First Car..

  • I wanted to spend alittle more on a car because it has to last me a least another 3-4 years and buying a £500 one and doing it up etc is time i unfortunatly dont have :( But its in amazing condition and its definatly going to keep me going for the next few years!

My mate spent £1800 on a S reg vauxhall corsa and it needed loads of repairs and it was only MOT for a couple of months til he had to do it again.
Then again hes not a moneysaver! lol so for £2000 i think ive done alright.
Plus his insurance for him by himself is £1600 but for me and 2 other its only £1000 :p he really needs to learn how to save money!

Thank you for your help! Its only something small to get me from A-B and for me to learn to drive in!

I went to Adrian Flux who guaranteed to beat any other quote by 10% (not sure if they still do this or not) - they even sent policy through the post. Then I went elsewhere and asked someone to match it (didnt want to use AF as it was through Highway Insurance).
    matched betting: £879.63
  • best quote ive got so far is:

    £1176

    and thats for:

My mum (45) driving 20+years no NCB due to not getting them on another policy
My fiance (19) driving 6 months no NCB
    Me (18) Learner :p

I suppose its a good price for us all, my mums usually about £250 by herself so me being a female learner and my fiance being a male suppose it adds up :p

Be careful about "policy fronting". The owner and main driver should be the person named on the policy.
  • okie cokie ill keep that in mind!
probs guna be my bf whos owner and policy holder etc :p hes guna be the one driving it mostly

    (5) Take somebody with you that knows about cars.
