Fix the above and search for a tool in google called NoLop. This will remove the infection which I suspect you have.
Good luckLive for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -
pinconereasearch is a survey site, there is nothing wrong with it
no sign of a lop infectionEx forum ambassador

you seem to be running with no firewall except the Xp built in one , that is not a good idea
try
http://www.download.com/Sunbelt-Kerio-Personal-Firewall/3000-10435_4-10487067.html
it could be avast thats slowing it down, try removing it and running AVG free

try running this
http://www.download.com/TuneUp-Utilities-2008/3000-2094_4-10206416.html?tag=lst-2
it's a fully working 30 day trial, install and then then run "1-Click" maintenance a couple of times until it is clear
it will clear up dead links from software thats been removed , ad remove old junk
is there any reason you are still running Internet Explorer 6 ??
do you not do windows updates ??Ex forum ambassador

I downloaded IE7 when it first came out but I didn't like the "feel" and it seemed a lot slower. Is it better now?
I think IE7 is the only update I haven't taken up.
Is that firewall only free for a limited time?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -
no, after 30 days it shuts off some "extra" features that you will never use anywayEx forum ambassador

Thanks.
What about IE7, is it much better than IE6? Is it still slow?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -
I use it, but its personal preference, IE6 is not updated so now prone to attack
IE7 still gets updated and is more secure, I turn off its Anti-Phishing toll as it slows stuff downEx forum ambassador
