I ordered a set of table mats which were due to be delivered on Wednesday.
I was also expecting a Tesco delivery that day.
Both were coming through Home Delivery Network and were to be signed for.
By Wednesday evening, both were showing as delivered on HDN's site, but I had not received them.
Contacted both Tesco and JL.
Tesco started an investigation. The item was showing as left in the garage AND had been signed for!
JL re-ordered my items.
On Friday, the table mats turned up. This time delivered by another courier.
The courier told us that HDN are renowned for leaving items at the wrong address, and they were probably sitting in someone else's garage.
We made some enquiries, and found our stuff several streets away, in someone's garage - no note left!
Anyhow, I contacted JL, to advise them that the items had been found and to arrange collection of the extra set we'd been sent. They emailed to say we could keep them free of charge!!!
In the meantime, despite a couple of reminders early on Thursday and Friday, I heard nothing more from HDN, who were supposed to be contacting me about the Tesco delivery. I shall let them go to the bother of their "inquiry" and when they DO finally contact me, I'll tell them that I got the parcel myself!
