Would this work

Okay got a new credit card, and they have sent a statement O balance 0 spent but a payment slip on the bottom I just wondered if I spent say £40 (petrol) on the card next week, then paid it straight off on that payment slip...I would be one slip in advance so to speak therefore paying no interest....pay two consecutive balances off in full promptly you get 56 days interest free.....this is me trying to get ahead of the game for once...:j

Does anyone see anything wrong with my plan?

  • It would not work.
In fact you would be diddling yourself out of interest free period of days.

If you spend on your card now you won't have to pay until the next due date on your next statement. How many days away is that?

I think you are over complicating things here.
