would you lie on a credit card application?

The biggest lie that I've ever told in a credit card application is to pretend that I still had my previous job when I was actually unemployed.
I've got another job since then, though.
However, I don't think I've ever lied about how long I've lived at any particular address, or how many other cards I've had and how much I owe on them when making applications. But I have omitted to mention previous addresses where I've only been for a few months, and where I never went on the electoral register, but I don't think that's a particularly big lie.It won't really matter just as long as you keep up the repayments on the card.
Also, I don't think you're likely to be hauled in front of a magistrate for making genuine mistakes on your application form.
However, it's also not good to make lots of applications that are only a few weeks apart, regardless of how truthful they are, because it makes you look a bit desperate. If you've applied for and been rejected for credit within the two months you've had your current job, then honestly I reckon you should try to wait four or five months before trying again.
And by that time, you'll have clocked up six months in your new job, so you won't really need to lie about it.0
