Estimated bills since recent price rises
I have recently received both my gas and electricty bills after the recent price rises and was annoyed to find that both had been vastly underestimated, meaning that next time an actual reading is taken I will be paying for these utilities used at the higher rate, even though most of the gas and electricity used was during the period of the lower prices. (hope this makes sense). So I urge others to furnish their suppliers with an updated reading as soon as or you may be paying over and above what you should.

I'd say you should be checking every bill, and any time it is estimated get them to correct it - even if you pay weekly/monthly/fortnightly.0
