Hey peeps
Am just about to start furnishing my new flat, and am looking to get a new set of sofa's . Am looking to buy from one of the major stores, say DFS or land of leather. Just wondering how long it will take before I get my sofas ?
They say that they are all made to order . . . so are we talking a few weeks - few months etc etc . . . any experiences/opinions/ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Our Land of Leather 3 piece suite took 17 weeks and 2 days to arrive from order to delivery.
And it was damaged (three issues).
Fortunately a technician managed to repair what, to us, looked unrepairable.
They got the technician out within 10 days of us taking delivery of the suite.
As the damage was invisibly made good, I'd give them 10/10.
When we ordered, we were advised 13-17 weeks so bang on at the end of that time range.0 -
I got mine from http://www.sofasofa.co.uk/index.cfm?flash=1 They seemed relatively cheap - £299 each
Went into the showroom previous to prdering so I could test them for squooshiness etc.
Ordered in Jan, delivered in Feb - absolutely no problem with delivery and to date the are still perfect:j . I have put throws over them to protect from evil children though (mine).Noli nothis permittere te terere

I work for a furniture suppliers and when DFS etc order from us we normally quote 12 weeks. Then they will normally add a couple of weeks onto this...So I would say 12-15 weeks to customer is about the norm.0

Remember that although DFS may offer 3 years interest free credit but I bet they load alot of interest onto the price2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.

I'd back Sofa Sofa (as above) - got two 'Manhattan' 3-seaters for under £800... great value and good quality. About 30% less than I would have paid in DFS or equivalent... (and a lot less than John Lewis and/or Sofa Workshop).
Although I'd recommending going to their showrooms or visiting one of their regular events as it's definitely better to see the sofas 'in the flesh' before purchasing.CarQuake / Ergo Digital0
