hope someone might be able to help me as i am thinking of swapping over my electric to british gas new click energy 5 offer from hydro electric.

but if i go bankrupt soon will i be swapped to there far more expensive standard tarrif?

or will i stay on the tarrif if i am currenty on, click energy 5, and only need the acct to be in credit for the bankruptcy?

finnaly once bankrupt will i be able to move to a cheaper supplier while undischanrged or do you have to stay with the one supplier until the end oif the bankruptcy?

thanks for any help anyone can give me and i live in scotland and i am not planning to go bank till the new laws come into force after the 1st april 2008.

Do you have a balance with Hydro? They may not let you leave.
If you do switch, then it is unlikely that you would owe BG any money, so it wouldn't affect you leaving them.
(I know very little about bankruptcy - so I'd check further)
  • British Gas do a Credit Check, I discovered this when i did a 30 day free Experian trial. ;)
