We paid £88 for a homeowners gas safety inspection (same as the landlords one), I think it was about the same last time one was done in a rented property we were in. We also had an electrical survey done which cost £250, I found some electricians who would do a check for around £180 but we were advised to get a NICEIC registered electrician to do it and they all wanted £250+.0

I got a gas safety check done for £50 with a local independant gas man.:D0
