Wedding Account - With Who?

[FONT="]Hi Guys
We're getting married this October - short notice! :eek:
Luckily we both have a lump sum (7k) to put aside, and parents REALLY want to contribute even though we've told them that everything is within our budget- we wouldn't be getting married otherwise!
We would like to open an account just for the wedding, so that we don't accidentally use it for something else :rolleyes:. Also parents would like to transfer money to this account, so it makes sense for it to be it's own pot.
Ideally we would like:
Internet banking - both to transfer money in/out (it doesn't matter if we have to transfer to current account to pay for things).
Possibly a branch - so if something goes wrong we can knock on a door!
Interest isn't essential as we will need to pay for things throughout the year, but any bonuses would be great.
Don't want to give notice/penalised to transfer/take money out.
I have looked at Principality e-saver, but you must send them a cheque to open the account - I was hoping I could just transfer the money over the Internet.
If anyone can think of things that we haven't considered that would be great, or any advice, recommendations.
Thanks!

When we got married 2 year ago (we keep our finance separated to keep everyone happy), what I did was to pay everything from my account while my wife fed her share back to my account via internet transfer and vice versa if she paid for something (aka wedding shoes etc'). It keeps things simple if you trust one another so no need to open a dedicated account.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

Thanks for the reply avantra!
We did consider that, but thought it might start getting messy - we're getting married in Italy and the place we're staying at also provides activities etc that we need to pay for in advance. Some family members mentioned that they would like to start paying now, so not to pay out in a lump sum....so it will be more than just our money.
Also we're dealing with the company in Italy directly, so thought it would be easier for us to organise & pay from one account.It also means that family has to give us the money before we book - I don't want to be paying for things and then people change their minds!0 -
Why not open an on-line account with the bank where you have your current account. You can pay money into your current account and then transfer the exact amount over onto your on-line account and when you want it you can transfer it back. It shouldn't take long to open either

I'm sure I looked there before and the online saver wasn't there....maybe I was looking at the ISAs last time0
