I got mine 5 years ago 2nd hand from the local paper. The lady selling, wanted a Vax, so I paid my £30 and felt I had a real bargain.
It's still working great, a little battered, but no loss of performance.
It's been through our building site extension, cars, new carpets, pets. Fallen down the stairs several times.
Then only drawback would be I tend to get the power lead and hose tangled up too often, then it just looks at you and smiles. It can get a kicking for that...
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

Our Church hoover is a Henry, he's at least 15yrs old and still going strong. Considering all the dust a 150yr old building kicks up and the tons of tinsel he has gobbled up after 15+ nativity services he was a good investment.
I 'borrowed' him when looking for a new vac to see if I should get one, but I didn't find him very good on getting cat hair out of the carpets.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0
