HELP! Insurance for a Rover 2006 - Doesnt Exist?!

We need help!
We brought a 06 plate rover 25 GLI last year in February. We got insurance for it straight away and we were all happy.
Of course now its time to look for the best quote on websites that look at all the companies etc and unfortunatly our car doesnt seem to exist!!
We typed in the Reg but it says it doesnt exist and tells us to put in all its details, so of course we do... but then it only comes up with 03 plate city rovers?!
Why is it being so stupid! According to these companies no Rovers were made after 03-05?! but we have an 06 plate!!
It isnt an MG or anything and weve even tried to put MG in and see if it works but it still doesnt! Its definately a rover!
Please please please can some one help us? We need to get insurance very soon but with the way its going were going to have to ring around everywhere!! It seemed to work fine last year though!

i can only assume yours was made in 05 but registered later.
most likely you will need to get quotes over the phone0 -
No Rovers were made after this date. Yours has been sat in a dealers for months waiting for a buyer. There are still unregistered ones out there. Best advice is to call a broker.0

i had a look in to it and you were right! it was made in late 2005 and reg'ed in 2006 as soon as i put year made as 2005 it found it
Found a good insurance quote of £235 too! Thank you all I'm getting married in August 2015:j0
