:confused:Hi all sorry bout this but need some help.

Ok just received an EPSON PERFECTION 1250 FLATBED SCANNER off an ebay seller and low and behold there's no leads inside. Can anyone tell me what adapter I need for the electric to plug it in and where I could get one cheap. I've already managed to pick up a USB lead from ebay (again better luck this time I hope) but I just can't find out what I need to plug the darn thing into the power sigh.

Thanks in advance guys, oh and sorry to the MOD if this is in the wrong place.
:p

If its anything like my 1650 the lead goes to a power supply box which in turn plugs into the mains. I may be wrong but I bet they aint cheap unless you can get one 2nd hand.

Didn't the seller mention 'no mains lead'?

There's a pdf on the scanner here.

    http://support2.epson.net/manuals/english/scanner/perfection1250/su_g/PF1250.PDF

    It's 500k in size. It needs a a/c adaptor

No didn't mention it. Sigh, ok looks like I may end up just having to put this one down to experience probally end up being cheaper to go buy a new one. I don't care what scanner I have just one that works even second hand would do need it for my daughters school projects sigh, thanks again.

I wondered if you could get anywhere with contacting Epson directly. They have a on-line chat facility for problems normally they refer problems to Epson dealers locally that repair Epson products. They may be spares for old Epson products.

Shame you didn't see that Dabs were selling the other week and Epson 1660 scanner cheap

Not sure what else to suggest I wouldn't give up just yet. You could ask in Ebay forum what to do about the person selling a scanner without the lead, as clearly they should have mentioned this as would would devalue it.

Thanks Shrek the pdf was very helpful if nothing else than to show me what the leads I need look like etc plus if I ever do get it working it'll be handy to have the instructions. (There weren't any of them either!) The seller just said in the advert that it was tested working so silly me presumed if they had tested it then surely it must have plugs! I ask too much lol.

The seller should have mentioned that it didn't have a lead- tested and working implies to me that it'll be supplied with everything you would need to get it going. It could be that the seller simply forgot to pack the adaptor with the scanner- I would contact them and ask.
