in Credit cards
Here's my situation:
A research student, at uni, renting private accommodation, aged 25, given a grant equal to around £1000/month (not officially earning).
2 credit cards:
* Egg @ £5000 limit
* Natwest @ £2100 limit
I am thinking I will close my Natwest card because I never spend on it and always spend on the egg card (paying balance off in full each month). But I also think having a second credit card is that little bit safer. But in view of that, I would like to be rewarded for spending on it, and would probably apply for the Capital One cashback card @ 1% and change my spending pattern accordingly. Is this a good idea or should I maybe just wait till I am in full time employment (hopefully in about 18 months or so). What do you guys think?
