Barclays Additions Plus Account

I have a friend who works for Barclays who tells me:

The web address for the new customer offer is https://www.barclays.co.uk/switch

Existing customers can also have additions plus but the offer is different & the fee is £12 per month, hence the earlier confusion. They reward 'good customers' for their loyalty by giving them Platinum Banking for free. I have this & amongst other things, you get free bankers drafts with it which was useful when I changed my car & moved house.

They had a temporary hiccup loading the adverts onto the web site so it wasn't obvious where the new customer offer was. This is now working.

Just noticed on the website, this now comes with Free Barclays Premiership club shirt or £40 in All:sports vouchers (for people who aren't thrilled by footie)

I'm so annoyed! Just called them but as I'm already a customer they can't do. In fact switching would save me about a quid a month on £2200 overdraft. Definitely going to switch now!

A new promotion is starting soon - if you are a Barclays customer, and you introduce a friend who is a non-customer to Barclays, and they open an Additions Plus account and meet certain other criteria, you will be paid £50.

This replaces the football shirt offer.

I'm thinking of opening an account - is this referral offer now available ? Assuming I'd still get all the 0% and insurance benefits, any Barclays customers out there want to refer me and we'll split the cash ??

Is there a place on this forum where you can partner up for such offers ? I hate it when I apply for something and there are referal rewards up for grabs...

Definately only 0% on the first £250 and not £5000 as stated which I thought was too good to be true. Shame I got all excited there!
