Hia,

Does anyone know where you can check what address you are registered at? Im 99.9% the council have mine wrong!

if you fill in the yearly electoral roll then it'll be in the town hall.how can the council get the address wrong???

that was what i was gonna suggest but do a search of yourself and the addy doesn't come up now.or does it just work when you sign in?

It is perfectly possible for the council to get an address wrong, or more relevantly for the address on the voters roll to not match the address the post office have. Given that the bank will probably use the PAF (ie they type in your house number and postcode and the computer fills in the rest) if your address on the voters roll doesn't match it may look to the bank like you're not registered. It's unlikely if your address is a standard house number, but it's surprisingly common if the property has a house name or it's in a village that doesn't have road names.

Thats exactly what im thinking. My address is not on PAF and add to that the fact most companies get it wrong! Im onto the council anyway so here's hoping!
