in Credit cards
2 weeks ago i purchased computer supplies totalling nearly £700 using my visa card. since then the prices have fluctuated, but it would now cost £35 less for the same items.
i vaguely remember reading that this difference can be claimed back- can anyone tell me if this is the case, and if so, how i go about this?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Think it depends on the card. I think Barclaycard used to offer something like this but I was under the impression they stopped a year or two ago.0

Some cards did have this for a while, but I don't think anyone has it now (except possibly an Amex card).0

Unless it was amazon you bought them from? They refund directly to you if you ask them nicely.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

I think there are areas of the forums that are on a slippery slope to 'reclaim culture'. As a bank employee, I have tried not to enter the debate on bank charges, but some of the 'questions' relating to reclaiming over the last few weeks have been ridiculousWhilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!

Why? Perhaps it was the Citi Platinum card (amongst many others) the OP remembers reading about...Troll - has to be!!Price match guarantee
If you buy something with your Citi Platinum MasterCard and then find it cheaper elsewhere within 60 days, we’ll refund the difference. See Insurance Information.*

Ordinarily I'd agree. However, this appears to be a genuine question...and furthermore, there appear to be several cards offering just what the OP is looking for as a standard feature of the card.mrmajika wrote:I think there are areas of the forums that are on a slippery slope to 'reclaim culture'. Is it ridiculous to make use of an openly advertised feature, and turn the providers own T&C's to your advantage?0 -
No, to be fair, it is not. My comments were more directed at others. Like the person who wanted compensated for having to wait in a long queue.YorkshireBoy wrote: »Is it ridiculous to make use of an openly advertised feature, and turn the providers own T&C's to your advantage?Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!
