Hard disk refunds

I recently had to replace my hard disk as it was shot. Checked on the website and as it was under 3yrs old it was under warranty. Replacement under way. The moral of the story, always ask for replaced parts back from computer shop(if out of 1 year warranty) and check if they are still under guarantee. I had a neighbor give me a monitor which was playing up after 11/2 years, still under 3 year replacement time, registered it and got it replaced.
