Freeview box causing TV to turn off

This is really weird, I've recently connected my portable tv to a freeview box to digitalise it and allow me to spend more time lazing around in bed watching tv:p, the strange thing is it intermittently causes the tv set to turn off, it can happen as much as every ten minutes and is really really annoying, if I switch it back on again all is well until it happens again, any ideas on if I can do anything to stop it gratefully received.

I doubt it's the freeview box and suspect dodgy plug wiring on the telly.

Check all of the connections, I too, doubt that it is the Freeview Box itself that is causing the problem.

It could possibly be a conflict of Remote Control codes, but that is unlikely.

Best advice, disconnect everything, check all leads/plugs etc. reconnect.

Had similiar problme with DVD recorder (until software update fixed). Short term fix is to disconnect pin number 8 on scart lead. Very easy to do. Only problem is when you put box on you will have to manually change channel to AV,

Well, I just wanted to let you know i sorted it, when I set the freeview box up it was picking up the signal on Channel 3 so thats what I watched it on, it continued to switch onto stand by every ten minutes until this morning when I used the AV channel, problem solved, when its on AV it doesn't switch off, no idea why but I'm just pleased its sorted.
