I've not heard of this particular company before, today we've had an offer of a pre approved card with 0% on BT until June 2009, which seems pretty good, do they belong to another card company? I ask because we applied for a card a while back and it was turned down as we already had a card with the company but it was under a different name, which was a pain as it would have shown up on the credit file as a refusal.
I'm a complete rate tart and have our cards on either 0% (halifax till May and virgin till December) or low life of balance for the two smaller amounts (nat west and capital one). We also have an egg card with a £15k limit that hasn't been used for months, so I've just paid for our holiday on it and will pay it off with the next statement.
The citi card would be used to transfer the balance from our Halifax one card that we use for our business and I've just put around £5k of stock on there, planning to pay it off at £500 a month, so it would finish just in time.
Our virgin card has a £10k balance at the moment and will have around £5k when the offer ends in December - with all this talk of a credit crunch, I'm wondering whether another life of balance card will be the best solution, the offer periods seem to creep up very fast! We have a £10k limit barclaycard with a zero balance and a sainsbury's card the same and it seems sensible to ask one of them for a low life balance transfer.
How do people keep track of all their cards?

Citigroup are the biggest credit card company in the world. Interestingly, since last mid-2007, Egg is now owned by Citi.
0% for over 15 months is certainly a very good deal.
I keep track of all my cards using a combination of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and a Personal Finance software package called Quicken. Unfortunately, Quicken isn't being sold in the UK any longer, but Microsoft Money is a very similar product. I generally forward-enter all my transactions including all known bills, wage deposits and of course 0% minimum payments along with reminders of when I need to move balances on or pay cards off.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)0 -
I don't think it's very likely that citi will give us a large limit if we have a £15k limit with egg then?
Although when we got the virgin card, they closed our unused Alliance and leicester card as they are both mbna."There is a light that never goes out"0
