Any ideas what else i should take with me other than a list of creditors i owe, how much and there APR's?
Any advice would be great.
Also does anyone have any idea what the CAB will do first with regards to changing over etc? I know ive got to give my DMP 4 weeks notice..but do i do that or will the CAB?
Any comments will be appreciated.
Many Thanks

You need an income and expenditure report. So how much all your bills are, rent or mortgage etc. We call them an SOA on here

If you take a look on the National Debt Helpline website they do a downloadable budget sheet which you could look at to prompt you as to what to include.
Good luck and well done to you for taking the steps to sorting it yourself!0 -
ensure that you ask the CAB for your case file - you are entiltled to it.
This should have all the records of the case work that they have undertaken and letters back from creditors.I am a debt counsellor working in the voluntary sector - we don't charge our clients for the work we do!0 -
Are you changing from a company managing your DMP to doing it yourself through CAB or are you with CAB at the moment and wanting to do it all yourself? (think it's the former but thought i'd ask
)

Sorry if this sounds dumb but is this going to be a file that will tell me what the DMP i am with have done since i have been with them? Or is it the case file that CAB have done and the replies back etc?Debt total £15,062.11 (07/03/08)

Sorry i dont think i made myself clear in the first post(my apologises)
Im currently paying £35 average a month for a DMP to manage my debts (11 different creditors). I have been with them for about 2 years now and im looking to start to manage these myself rather than pay someone to do it.
I have spoken to a few people about this and most people have said that i need to speak with CAB to ensure that i do the process correctly. I have also been told that they will be able to send the letters out for me also.
Im not sure what the best thing to do is (ACB or manage myself) or what to do first with regards to letting my DMP know(obv i dont want to tell DMP until everything else is sorted...
Im just fed up of being in debt. Ive been moaning for a while that my life is on hold and i never do anything exciting (like go on holiday etc) and now i've realised why(because of money situation) i just want to squash the debt for good.
I really do appreciate your adviceDebt total £15,062.11 (07/03/08)
