Yep - no oven required! Melt butter, add sugar and golden syrup, stir until sugar is melted. Add oats, put on greaseproof paper. I poured a packet of chocolate drops on and put it in the fridge. I've cut them up and popped in a lined tin as they are very sticky!

hi all, still no news on the job so i presume i didnt get it!
nsd here, as been busy over half term in the garden, we pulled down the sad old shed and used the decent wood to make a box for the recycling and wood for the chimnea, and hope to use all the other wood from the garden etc to make a mini mini shed for the kids bikes etc, and all for free.
however my poor son stood on a nail, then this morning her had earache and i panicked and thought !!!! hes got tetanus, so rang dr who gave us a course of ant bitics without even looing at him ( hes ok with the nail buiness as i dressed it quick and made sure there was no rust etc in the wound, and as hes 8 the tetanus from the pre school booster was sticll active, hes just got a ear infection. God i love half term!!!:A :j0 -

no, erm, well maybe!
But Keren may have moved me along a bit with a flap jack recipe!
I have golden syrup in the house, and porrige oats, and raisins, oh i can feel a nigella moment coming on! Keren, how much sugar required, and how much golden syrup, allbeit i might not use as much as you!
IA- bless you
Karren - poor little un, my Erin fell and hurt her wrist when rollerskating (not very well) yesterday. Last night she had made herself a sling out of a Tshirt, without any assistance from anyone, i swear i saw her nursing career flash before my eyes. I hope it's not a premonition! I wanted her to be rich and keep me in my old age...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I did 3 ounces of butter, 6 ounces of oats, 2 big dollops of golden syrup and a 3 ounces of sugar. I think my dollops were a bit big!! Raisins are a fab idea.
