Got paid today: Have £616 more than normal due to overtime/honoraria payment/refunded childcare vouchers/backpay.
This means not only have I got enough money to pay my holiday (due 20th March) but i also have the £500 holiday spending money I want to take!
I've now decided I am going to attempt to clear my debts and tackle them one by one. The first is my Alliance & Leicester overdraft, which is costing me £10 a month, which is a £5 charge for under-use, then a £5 overdraft charge. I'd like to think I could have it paid off in five months. The limit is £900 and it was standing at £798.01 as of today.
I had several linked savings accounts with nothing in them, bar for a very minimal amount in each, so I have closed those savings accounts and moved the money into the current account. Balance now stands at £794 somethingStart Date: 27/11/2010

Hello everyone. I'm new to this thread.
Happy birthday Webitha!
Today I cancelled my contact lenses. I've been meaning to do it for months as I can't afford them and I don't wear them as often as I used to anyway so I've got a backlog of them now.
I also made a spreadsheet of the money diet calorie counter (I don't have excel so couldn't use the one on this site and made up a budget. I've been reading The Money Diet and some info on this site. I haven't been anywhere or spent anything. I was going to do some laundry but I'm going to give it to my Mam to save my electricity! No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
Wishing you a Happy birthday Webitha.
I have had a turn out of my wardrobe and will be putting some items on ebay in the next few days.
I also went out to lunch without any money to ensure I didnt spend anything!Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime
