Friday 15/02/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will Check online banking
Do clicks
Update spreadsheets as it is payday:j
Try and have a no spend day
Have lunch from excess food from last night's party:D

Hope everyone has a good day.

I'm working from home (and not reading MSE Boards at all) - so that's 60 miles saved = £10.

I've not left the house, does that count?

And I've increased my payments to my mum for loan of money she gave me to £150 from £100 a month...

And I've set up standing order to my little side account with A & L (no overdraft) with food budget £200 and personal spends £80 per month, so will only ever have that card on me...

Happy birthday webitha, hope you have had a good day so far. Evening all to everyone else. Well am made up its the weekend and half time so i can have a good rest and catch up on dfw things.

    Today i have done/will do:
-Got a lift to and from work so have spent nothing on bus fare
-Have had a store cupboard packed lunch and am making a store cupboard tea
-Looked for some mystery shops but didn't see any.
    -Sent off my ebay items
    Will check out online banking
-Sort through emails and do any surveys
-Off out tonight but my friend is having a party so will take the wine with me and shes cooking so it will be a nice cheap evening. Am driving there with my partner(means a free driving practice) then he's driving the car back home and am getting a lift home from another friend so won't have to worry about transport costs.

Hope everyone enjoys the start to their weekend.
