I have a soul-mate then Pink-Winged!! I had a friend to lunch recently and did the warm prawns, salad and lovely bread with a squeeze of lemon/lime over. Don't laugh but I bought a bottle of Rose wine in Lidl for the MASSIVE price of £1.49 and it was FAB!! I've had several since as well.

I'm not much of a drinker TBH but I liked the colour:rotfl: as it went with the prawns and we both loved it. I have had wine costing maybe five times more and would sooner go without!;)

I go by taste not exact measurements sorry I am so useless. However I have a normal size kettle and I tend to fill it up boil it and pour it in. If it doesnt taste quite right add a touch more stock. It has never failed to satisfy yet. Its one of those rare dishes that does not sound very nice until you have tried it so can really impress. Yes it does freeze really well.

For really special occasions add some double cream at the end!

About 1 litre and a half then. I'll give it a try sometime soon. Thanks

Thanks everyone. I think I might make carrot and coriander soup and get some prawns and then give them the choice.

:rotfl: It will just seem that I keep homemade soup and prawns in my fridge rather than a lump of cheddar and a loaf of hovis. lol ;)

    Hiya.

What did you decide on in the end? Great recipe ideas! Drooling over the white chocolate & ginger cheesecake - could I have the recipe? yummmmm. (thatll be great for my diet, not!)

Recently went to a BBQ and for dessert we had chocolate bread & butter pudding, which was made with pain o chocolat - lovely!

    xx
