Just being awkward here, but haven't you paid them already?

If they want to give you money, that's up to them but it doesn't change the face that you've paid them. You've got bank statements to prove it.
  • Hey, guys! Could someone give a prompt, how I can pay Moorcroft online, abroad at the moment, don't want to give them my debit card details to prevent them from taking as much as they want, not as much as I tell (unfortunately, that kind jf crap happens? as I see here)
  • I have been fighting with them to inform the credit agencies that my debt has been cleared.

Despite over two dozen phone calls and a recorded delivery letter the !!!!!!! debt is still showing as being due!!!

PS Unless they have changed their bank details recently, that is NOT Moorcroft's details!

Best best is to use the contact option on Moorcroft's site to request Bank Details.

Don't give any info, just state you want to make payments.

If they insist simply stand your ground, eventually they get the message.

This whole thing is typical of Moorcroft!

Firstly to answer the question, if you havent sussed it, get their banking details and set up online where you just send a payment over to them (remember it can take 5 working days to get there)

I did this once for my daughter over a phone contract she couldn't pay after being made redundant, what a mistake!!

I was looking through some bank statements for something else and noticed Morrcroft had taken £247 out of my account without my permission on Feb 7th this year, absolutley livid I confronted my daughter who showed me her statement to say they'd taken her payment out on 11th Feb

Am about to go to war with them now, how dare they just help themselves to my account?????

It's not as if they can take you to court for non-payment is it?

You only have 2 more payments to make, continue as if it hasn't happened and ignore any threats.

By the time they can legally take you to court or anyhing you will be done.

  • :mad:I have had two debts being paid off and had a collector come to my door each month. Worked great for over a year till my hubbie let him take away one of the payment cards when he asked for it. Said some crap about needing an audit. Turns out he was pocketing my £250 every month and only giving Moorcroft around £30-£40 every month. Did the same with another debt but silly collector forgot to ask for the payment card back so at least we have some evidence. Trouble is - he only stole around £300 from this one. Moorcroft don't give a jot and have never even had the courtesy to write to me. I had to tell them what had happened. Got police involved now as Moorcroft just don't seem to care.
    Roll on solvency!!!

I pay on behalf of a family member who had health problems so had to retire early which of course lead to financial problems for them. I do this via BillPay from Alliance & Leicester (Santander) maybe it is only possible because he had a payment book and, more importantly, a reference number.

Initially I paid by debit card via their website (mdrl.co.uk), however, they appeared to outsource the collection to BillPay (please note that at the link from their website visually appeared to work but you could not login).

Red/Lowell do this too, I'd watch for it. Set up a DD to pay my old mobile phone debt off, they didn't take the first month's payment as they hadn't set it up properly. Whereas I asked for the bank a/c number so I could make payments, so I paid it off that. Funnily enough, haven't had a letter AND they're taking the DD as they should be. I refuse to give them any more details than they need, like my name and address.

I do it all because I'm scared.
