Just a warning to others about this fake website.
My son's girfriend recently ordered a bikini for her hols from this company. The money was taken out of her account but no goods arrived!!!
The telephone numbers on the website take you to an American answer machine. She has left messages to no avail. Emails asking for info have been ignored by the company also.
Just a question from anyone who might know what she can do to perhaps get her money back or at least report the company to protect other consumers? The bank were not helpful and just shrugged their shoulders!
How would she go about this?
Any ideas gratefully received. I've fortunatly never been in this situation before and so have no idea how to report them .
Thankyou in advance everyone

site looks dead to me0

Did she pay by credit card? is it worth contacting the provider for a refund as it was an obvious fraud.Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!0

If you google the website it brings up lots of dubious links to this site and one other,www.bikini-beach-world.com which looks like the same type of scam,I dont know anything about how people create these links for sites, but probably there is a way of getting them closed down. You could try sending an email to the Islamorada chamber of commerce www.islamoradachamber.com see if they can suggest anything, but is there any indication the "shop" is actually anything to do with this place?Hopefully your sons girlfriend may have learned a valuable lesson about the internet .How much money has she lost?0

It really is staggering that there are so many 'gullible' people out there who just don't have a clue.
Anyone that loses money through this sort of thing doesn't get my sympathy.
If it wasn't paid for on a credit card she will be  for the money...and even saying that it would need to be over £100.0 -
daveboy,I used to think it had to be over £100,but some users on here say otherwise,it can depend on the bank (so I am told).0

anything over £100 and the card company are jointly and severably liable. Under that they usually just charge back the amount as a matter of goodwill. The £100 is useful though as say you buy a TV and the retailer goes bust the credit card company have to provide all the cover/services that the retailer would have done ie if the tv breaks they have to fix it/replace it.0

I thouight overseas sales were not protected by the CC companies, and this sounds like an overseas sale to me if the seller was/is in the USA.0

I believe that the law has now changed so that overseas purchases are covered as well0
