Pay off loan with credit card?

Hi all, I was thinking of getting a credit card with 0% for 12 months and using it to pay off my car loan. I have nearly saved enough to pay it off but thought it might be worth paying it off on 0%????? Would this qualify for 0%. Am I able to do this?
Many thanks

  • You would have to check the T&Cs, but the Virgin card should let you - unless they've changed the T&Cs since I took mine out in December.

Virgin give you cc cheques which qualify for the 0% deal (for 15 months/until March 09 - not sure which), although you do have to pay a 2.98% fee. However, if you are earning more than this on your savings then it's still worthwhile. There may be others where you can do this, but always check carefully.
