Center Parcs - is there anyway a friend on a day pass can stay over in our lodge?

Can anyone help? A big group of us have booked to go to Center Parcs and a few people are also coming on day passes. One person lives hours away and going there and back in one day would be a killer. Could one person sleep on the sofa in our lodge just for a night? What checks are in place to make sure people on day passes leave? We would be willing to pay extra. Does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks.

  • hi :) .. i dont have experience of centre parks .... but "back in the day"....every summer 4 people would book a chalet at Butlins(wales) ..and about 8 "day pass" people would join them ... this arrangment took place for many years untill it changed to a haven camp ..no checks where ever made. ... i did hear a rumour that it was suppose to be an extra £15ppn

If your villa is big enough , ie if you had asix bed villa and there are only four of you, then I believe you just add then to the holiday, as you pay per villa anyway.

If they are crashing on the sofa, well the car park is massive and there is no barriers to get out of it - so i can't imagine that it would be a problem to stay over !

last year we had a 4 bed villa for 6 of us,so when we checked in i added my sister and hubby onto booking and they came and stayed for 2 nights and didnt have to pay for day pass,so if any of you have got spare beds in your villas add your friends names on to booking at check in and they wont have to pay day pass.
if not i know people who have paid for a day pass and stayed on sofa just make sure one of your party adds the car reg they will be using onto their booking form then it can legitimately stay on car park overnight

last year when we booked a villa. there was absolutely no restriction on who came in or went out. no matter how many stayed. the only check was in the entertainment centre where they asked for the pass.

as someone mentioned earlier, you pay for the villa, so add them onto ur booking. if not with the day pass, i think they can stay overnight. should not be a problem. just say you were partying overnight.

must depend on which centre parcs then,we went to nottingham and you dont get a pass there but they just check everybody in at reception and after that you can go anywhere on site,if they do find out a day pass holder has stayed overnight you get charged for second day but i know lots that have got away with it as there are no checks on way out as long as car is registered with a villa.

They have recently been taken over by an American company and lots of things are changing with CP. They are looking at different ways to charge extra, for instance; they now don't automatically honor the prices in the brochure or on promotional literature but can change it at any time according to demand and take up of places. They had a promo on this week but by the time I rang, even though they were still advertising on their site, prices had gone up by 100% of sale prices!!! They now charge for choosing which villa you stay and, according to the lovely lady on the phone, for as many extras as they can get away with. The moral of the story.... it may be best to check :)
