Renting under the 106 Agreement

I was wondering if anyone can help
We rent our house under the 106 Agreement. This means the local authority (waveney District Council) supplies the tenanet but somebody else owns the property its an investment property.
Our lease is due for renewal in June and was wondering if anyone knows if we sign for another 3 years whether we'd have to finish our tennancy? W.D.C would obviously have other tennants lined up.
I live in hopes of the chance of a council house, and would hate to miss out due to having to wait!

Hi,
If you are offered another tenancy and do not take it then you are making yourself homeless and the council have no obligation to house you.
If you are already a LA tenant and the house owner does not renew the agreement then the LA will have to rehouse you.
if you choose to leave before this tenancy is up then you will be deemed as no longer needing housing via the LA and will have to be housed in the private sector.
I have a long running thread at the moment as we are due to be evicted, while we have a roof over our head and do not have the court date for eviction then they won't help us - and this is depsite having a child with medical needs. There might be something useful on there for you: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=676147
But if the lease is renewed you'll have to stay, you won't get offered anything else while you are already housed under the LA, regardless on whether it is under S106 or not.
Could you find out if there is someone who would like a transfer, maybe put your details on the housing trsnsfer list, it is possible that someone who is due to give up their house might do a swap with you so you gain a house that is not under 106 and is more secure and that person then simply hands the keys back. That might work and is something to think about.0
