Old Premium Bonds

My father in law died recently and when going through his belongings we came across some premium bonds in his wifes name (she died 11 years ago). There is one for £100 (1977) and two for £1.00 (1957). We also have the documentation to go with them. But after looking on the premium bond site I think they could only have been cashed in for up to a year after she died. Does anyone know if I’m reading this correctly. We’ve also found some life insurance for her from 1930 from Liverpool and Victoria – can anything be done with this?
Thanks

Old Premium Bonds from relatives that have passed away can be reclaimed back at anytime. Its 1 year after death that they are still eligible for the monthly draws.Had £80,000 in Savings - All GONE!!! BYE BYE:A Single, 27, Aspie, Gooner :A0

Premium Bonds - yes you can liquidate them (at least the Exor can).
Life Insurance - yes the Exor can claim that (assume the beneficiary was the father in law? And it's probably a 'paid up' policy ... ie no premiums outstanding). You'll almost certainly need a Death Certificate for the mother in law - but contact LV for what claim details they need :-
