Ceramics make a hole quite tight for a rawl plug so you may need a smaller plug or to move up 1/2 a drill size. (or shove hard).

Good way to crack the tile, I'm afraid. Make sure the plug is entirely behind the tile, otherwise as it expands that will crack the tile. Drill one hole for the plug and a slightly larger one for the plug to go through the tile.
  • most causes of tiles cracking is to tight a hole for wall plug or screw, if its to big it will drack tile, something has to give.
I make a bigger hole in the tile before i use drill bit to drill wall which matches plug and screw size and allows for expansion.
