I thought secondary schools used the SATs result in order to put the children in the most suitable ability group.
OP have you used Education City? My childrens school uses it and we have used it at home. You can use it on a free trial basis for about a week or so. When my youngest was having trouble with fractions, it really helped him and he had fun using it.0 -

I'm a Year 6 teacher who runs Booster classes after school. My pupils love to play simple games like Countdown and love computer based games, that improve their mental maths. Try the following free site www.supermathsworld.com it's excellent.
My pupils love our Boosters so much that they ask me to do extra - the secret to all learning at the end of a school day when chikdren are tired - is little and often and make whatever you do fun!!
Hope this helps
