Go Back To Your Broker!!!!

Hi everybody!

I recently re-took out my car insurance policy with a broker! What a pleasurable experience it was! Not only did they beat any quote I had found online, it was really nice talking to somebody human again, and somebody I can actually go into my town centre to see FACE-TO-FACE!

Basically from what I gather, from sites like confused.com, all you are getting is not quite broker prices, without the personal service we used to get!

I would advise anybody to try a broker again! Especially if you've tried to claim recently like I have! They have a claims advisor that I can go and see anytime - again ALL FACE-TO-FACE!

If they can match or beat the quotes online, I see no reason why I'll ever be shopping around again!

By the way - my broker's name is A-Plan Insurance in Dunstable!

Problems can occur as your not dealling direct with the insurer in claims incidents and also be sure to check they dont just work 9-5 monday friday - this can be a real pain, again when making claims or if you need to make ugent ammendments over weekends or worse still bank holidays:eek:

True, but in reality, claims notified to evening / weekend shift staff at insurers rarely start moving until the next working day when they can speak to their suppliers / contractors / repair shop etc.

There is a lot to be said for having a good broker on your side. They can explain things better and fight your corner if they feel the insurers have acted unfairly.

Whilst the sentiment is nice, A-Plan is a name you see spammed on many sites. Most appear from 1 post wonders.

It smells of self promoting spam.

  • I totally agree with this and would recommend anyone to try a local broker.

You usually find a personal friendly service and no call centres!!!

My brokers are genuine and give their honest advice.

Definately worth paying a little extra for, although in actual fact my broker reduced their commission and I ended up paying less than I would if I went direct to the insurer, apparently the brokers get preferential rates for putting so much business with them......
    :j Mortgage Free!! )
Generally trying to cut back where possible :j
  • Thanks for saying that I smell! I'm just trying to share a good experience with everybody!

I think that sometimes we are looking in the wrong places - surely we should be concentrating on getting the best deal and package, not just the cheapest possible - especially when I'm insuring something that is worth a lot of money to me! I want to make sure it's covered properly and I feel much more confident that it is now!
