Removing paint off pine unit

What can i use safely to remove white emulsion paint off a pine unit? It comes off with some elbow grease using just warm soapie water, but that will take me forever.
I got this off a friend who for god knows what reason has painted a lovely pine cabinet white, just on the outside. I have managed to get it off one side of the door and the pine underneath is beautiful.
So any suggestions.

What about sugar soap? It won't do any harm, but will get the paint off more quickly than soapy water.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

Great :T
Will it come off pretty quickly then? Can i use scourers or best sticking to just a soft cloth?
Im so new to this, as you can tell, but couldn't pass up the opportunity of this lovely unit. Its worth the effot to get the white paint off.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
You could try Nitromors.............you'd need thick gloves and wire wool and still the elbow grease but it does work.
Failing that, a bucket of caustic soda and a scrubbing brush might do it. Another case of thick gloves - you'd need the cautic hot for it to work well.
Only other answer it to have it professionally done at a pine strippers.
Good luck. It's hard work.............done it myself some years back.Mary

Thank you both for the suggestions.
I went to home base and asked someone, they recommended sugar soap 1st as it won't ruin the pine underneath, if it didn't work, obviously go back and get the nitromors.
Result - sugar soap :j
The paint is coming off soooo much quicker, granted would of been a lot quicker with the nitromors, but this way i know its not going to ruin the pine underneath and i only have the doors and sides to do.
Going to aim to get it finished tomorrow.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
