Car bumped - any chance of structural damage?

Bumped my 1999 Ford Fiesta a couple of months back, just sort of tapped another car. The light on the passenger's side has been "pushed" in about an inch but not smashed at all. I've had a butchers and it's attached to a piece of metal which has bent in a bit. This used to have a clip to hold the grille on that side but it's slightly out so the grille no longer fits properly. No damage to the bumper but the fog light at the bottom seems to be loose. The bonned is not badly damaged at all - a slight dent but nothing that I'd bother getting fixed. I've been driving it for a couple of months since and it runs fine. I'm a bit scared of going to get quoted at the garage because I'm skint and I don't really want to know but do you reckon it sounds like a big job? Is there any chance of structural damage? Cheers...

Hard to say without seeing it.

But in all probabilty it will be fine. If there are any loose bits you might want to strap them up with a zip tie or perhaps a self tapper (screw) if you need to make a bracket any thin metal will do (from a coke can up).

You just want to ensure nothing is going to fly off and be a danger to other road users/pedestrians.

There's nothing even loose really - the fog light only feels loose when you mess with it. The headlight seems fine, works fine etc. Like I say I've been driving it with no problems for a couple of months. MOT isn't due for 6 months though and I will be even more broke by then so I don't want it to fail on this.

Your headlamp may be well out of alignment, making the car illegal on the road, that should certainly be checked out, the police are bound to stop you sooner or later.
