Divorce and Mortgages

Currently going through a Divorce which will leave me £12-£15k in debt. Moving back with family. Can anyone help with advice on whether its best or more advantageous to get a consolidation loan before I apply for a mortgage, when I get a mortgage or after I get a mortgage. Will start looking for a somewhere to live in about 3-6 months time.

Anyone posting any replies, probably best to do it here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=74062 Skippy has posted this Q twice, probably for more coverage or unsure of best board, and probably easier for them if all responses are in one place2p off is still 2p off!0
