  • Bought lovely ones from Christy outlet in York few weeks ago, Bath Sheet £6, Hand Towel £2.50. If you are a member at Costco, their towel bales are Quality, had mine few years now, and still looking as new. Just plain, but the Bath Sheets are American size - HUGE.

  • My sister and I both got Egyptian cotton towels from Bid up TV and they are fantastic. With postage they cost around £30 for 2 bath sheets, 2 bath towels, and 4 hand towels. They wash really well and are a good size.
We don't normally watch it but it was the end of a drunken evening.... I'm glad we only bought towels and that they were really good!
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

  • I've just bought some egyptian cotton towels in Roseby's sale. I got 2 bath towels for £10 and 2 hand towels for £5. They are thick and soft, especially after I followed the instructions and washed & tumble-dried them before use. I also bought a stripey flannelette double bed sheet set for £10.:j

The M&S also didn't seem to absorb water - they just sort of distributed it round my body.

I read somewhere that when washing towels don't add any fabric conditioner to the load.
Something about towels becoming non-absorbent because of the residue build up.

That's true about fabric conditioner I hate using towels that don't dry you properly. I get my towels from a mill shop in East Lancashire for about a third of the price of the shops.
