Abbey interest rate hike of 47.5% !

Not sure if anyone else has had one of these yet, but I didn't spot any posts about it...
I received notification today that Abbey were increasing the interest rate applicable to my credit card from the existing rate of 18.9% to 27.9% from March - a rise of over 47%
I don't have a debt problem, although I suspect i'm not a particularly profitable customer for them - I have several £k on the card on a 0% transfer deal, and will be able to pay it off before they can sting me for any interest.
(edit for clarity: i'm playing "card tart" with them, and put the entire balance into a high interest savings account :-p)

Thanks for the warning.
We've just got the Abbey credit card - making use of the interest free/money back period.
I'll make sure it's paid off in full.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -
they did that to me! so I had to move it to capital one who were offering a further 0% until october. Then ysterday I had a letter from Virgin saying my interest rate on their card was changing to 29%!!!
I didn't even think that rate existed except for on store cards.
