I had a look at this one too and unfortunately no longer working - when you try to sing up it says `Due to Customer Feedback, this service is currently under review and may not return. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused '. Shame as very cheap option! Looks like blisslist it the cheapest I can find but lack of feedback makes me a little nervous!0

anyone had the chance to review blisslist or know someone with any feedback on them? Still can't find reviews on the net!! many thanks0

Having done some additional reviewed, I have come across qhat appears quite a good site - www.blisslist.co.uk which only charge 1.5% plus VAT - free to set up and they supply cards to put in invites!!! Only thing is, can't find much feedback about them and was wondering if anyone had any details about them or relevant feedback. This may be of use to anyone else looking for similar site as some of the others are charging a fortune (Circa 9%!!)
Hi - I looked at blisslist as I am doing the same thing with our list and they seemed OK and quite helpful - my only concern was that they haven't been operating long and worried about what would happen if they went under with my guests money! I have ended up going with bottomdrawer.co.uk - they charge the bride and groom a flat fee of around £50 but have been established for years so I thought was less of a risk.0 -
We used Bliss List for our wedding last year. I also had a concern about what would happen to our money if they went bust (I had this concern about all of these sites by the way, not just Bliss List). When I approached them about it, they were really helpful and offered to make a payment to us automatically when our fund reached a level of our choosing. I chose £150, and they seemed happy to do this even though I'm sure it was a bit of a headache for them - they ended up making about 10 seperate payments to us! It helped me sleep better though!
Overall the experience was good, and I would recommend them. I liked how clean their site was, and the commission rate is a fraction of everybody else. We paid just under £30.0 -
msdoogie, you wouldn't happen to be Sarah Dugas, the owner of blisslist, would you?0

No. Who is Sarah Dugas? We always dealt with Chris, who said he was the owner...0

Good to read different recommendations. We're thinking about asking for money towards the honeymoon but don't want to be quite so blunt about it, asking for experiences and meals seems good. It won't be a package holiday (we're flying to Norway and then making our way back by train spending most of the time in Scandinavia) so can't go with Thomas Cook et al.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

We've decided to go with Buy our Honeymoon.com http://www.buy-our-honeymoon.com/
As we didn't want to have to pay any comission. It costs £69 to set up (but if you google it there is a discount code, or there's one at the end of this article http://www.weddingtv.com/?aid=77
).
I'm really happy with ours. They have sample lists for you to look at so you can go all through the process and see what your guest would see. The price also includes all the invitation inserts and phone support for you or your guests. The only downside is that it doesn't collect the money, you have to rely on your guests giving you a cheque of the cash (you can have paypal on there but then you have to pay whatever paypal's fees are). This wasn't a problem for me as a lot of my guests have said they're glad they don't have to put their card details on an internet site, but your more technological guests might think it's a bit old fashioned.
If you want to see mine, it's http://www.honeymoonpromises.com/marks.royston.327 just please don't click through as if you're buying things as it will take them off the list!0 -
www.holidaysplease.co.uk is who I've booked my honeymoon through and basically people can donate online towards the cost of the holiday and we just pay the balance. If people pay after we've settled the account they send the money to us in a cheque.
Great service, helpful staff and good value holiday, no more expensive than anywhere else.0
