i have booked my seat alhambra in for diagnosis and a price quote into my local garage (whom i think i trust) but wondered if there were any experts out there who could give me a head start as to what they think it might be
there is a rattling noise coming from drivers side (front - i think!)
it seems to just be when i go over a bump or down one of the main potholes in the roads at the moment - any help gratefully received;)

more than likely to be a shock absorber or a broken spring.
if it is expect to be priced to replace both front shockers or springs,as they should be done in pairs to keep the car straight when you brake and keep the ride comfortable....work permit granted!0 -
thanks goldspanners - my dh says he thinks it might be the anti roll bars - sorry have no idea why he thinks that and he has just had to go out
does that make any sense - i guess i want to be a little bit informed when my local guy phones me with the diagnosis although he could tell me anything i guess - have told him i want a quote and will phone dh before we agree for it to be fixed

it could be the anti roll bar bushes that are worn or cracked (easy to see usually and to diagnose).if it is these bushes you should have noticed a slight lack of response in the steering i would have thought....work permit granted!0
