I will be very grateful if someone could give me a price band of what I should expect to pay for floor and wall tiling. I live in Derbyshire in the Midlands.
1) Stone floor tiles being a mixture of 40 x 60 cm and 20 x 20 cm. 22 square metres of tiling laid on a newly prepared concrete and cement screed.
2) Ceramic Floor Tiles Octagonal 14.8 x 14.8 cm with 5 x 5 cm tiles infilling the gaps between the octagons. 2.25 square metres.
3) 7 square metres of plain ceramic tiles 10cm x 10 cm.
If anyone has had anything done similar to 1, 2 or 3, I will be very interested to know how much you paid for the laying / fitting.
Thank you
Tom

1. what kind of stone is it?, natural stone fixing can be double the price to ceramics=£25sqm nat=£40-£50sqm
2. prob be a day rate seeing it's not a big floor, £150ish
3. day rate again £150ish
then you'll have all your materials on top of that. adhesives, grout, silicone, proper sealers and primers plus cleaners.
whats the Octagonal tiles being laid onto?
and whats the plain ceramic being tiled onto ?
you might need other floor plyed out too, cost of ply, time , screws etc.........
walls ok? might need corrected if not level.

All the floors will be new concrete with a flat float finish. The walls will be plaster. The stone is a natural stone product travertine.0

right, new concrete you must allow 6weeks drying time or 1week for every centimetre of thickness.
prime with acrylic primer to prevent dust ( NOT PVA )
HERES SOME NOTES I HAVE ON TRAVERTINE
MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN AND DRY BEFORE SEALING LITHOFIN STAIN STOP APPLY 2 OR 3 TIMES UNTIL FULLY SATURATEDCLEAN WITH AN ALKALI CLEANER
LEAVE TO DRY FOR 2-3 HOURS BEFORE GROUT
LEAVE TO DRY FOR 24 HOURS THEN SEAL AGAIN
REMOVE ANY SPILLS OR POOLS
USE A WHITE ADHESIVE
USE LITHOFIN WEXA TO REMOVE STUBBORN DIRT (DILUTE 1-10 WATER)
CAN BE TUMBLED (UNEVEN) LOOKS DISTRESSED
FILL ALL THE UNFILLED HOLES UP WITH GROUT
USE A FLEXI IVORY OR LIMESTONE GROUT
