Still no contact on my broken meter...

Finally got my meter fixed. After several calls, got through to someone with a bit of sense who booked an appointment with Siemens to fit a new meter while I was still on the line.

I said I'd called several times over the last few months and was worried about getting into debt. She refunded my credit and agreed to start from zero again. Result! No electricity bill for January to October!

Just waiting to see what my next bill comes in at!

If your meter stops, keep calling: they take this contact into consideration when assessing estimates etc.

Looks like a result. Good to see that amongst the varying levels of incompetence you finally got through to the "have a clue department".

I think its down to the companies to prove what you owe. If the meter isn't working I don't think they can make you pay anything...

Only just noticed this thread as this isn't a board I read often....:D Glad you got a good result OP. I had exactly the same happen to me last year. Our meter packed up and it was a while before I noticed. When I contacted the provider they just replaced the meter and as they couldn't prove I was using any electricity I didn't have to pay.
