Virgin Credit Card

After transfering a balance on a 0% for 15 months (0% on new purchases for 3 months only) deal to Virgin in Sept 07, I have received a staement charging me interest this month. When I rang them to query it they said that I had made a purchase in October 07 (which I paid off in full at the end of Nov 07) but that meant that the 0% for the remainder of my balance no longer applied (the purchase amount was about the same/slightly less as the balance I had transfered). Is this correct - can they do this? They said that the amount I had paid went straight towards paying off my balance transfer first so I am now left to pay the rest off on full interest!! This wasn't what I understood when I signed up for the card. Has anyone else had problems like this?

This is why Martin says never to mix stoozing cards with spending cards. The rule of thumb is that if you get a card to stooze with you never ever spend on it. Sorry.0

will the 0% still apply to the balance transfer and the interest is for the 'purchase'? which in theory will not be cleared until the bt is?0
