Tesco 5p off petrol when you spend £50

I got mine at the till. Spent £35.61 on super unleaded in error, should have gone for normal petrol at 100.9 pence. The coupon took £1.65 off so paid £33.96. Its not much discount for spending £50 on food. But they did still give me 35 points to add to my total.:beer:Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230

i spent £50 in store on 11/02/08 and my receipt shows Coupon Valid Until 02/35/02.
does anyone have any idea what 02/35/02 could possibly be?
Mine had that same date and it was used fine by the checkout operator.Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -

has anyone got one of these coupons spare that they aren't likely to use or don't want? If so, I'd be really grateful if I could beg it off you, please

I totally agree. If ever I need to go to several shops in Watford (I don't live in Watford...) e.g Costco, Mothercare etc, I'd make an effort to fill up the tank at Tesco Waterfields. Often the cheapest.0 -
I don't know what other peoples' experiences are of this offer in the past but my local Tesco charges at least 5p per litre more to begin with than the nearby Shell and B.P garages.
I agree. Even including Tesco's 5p per litre discount, my local Shell is cheaper. I know some will argue it all comes from the same place, but I prefer to buy my fuel from a 'proper' garage, not a supermarket.

Fuel doesn't all " come from the same place " tho', as the dirty Tesco fuel saga showed up last year, I agree, I buy my petrol from a garage, I wouldn't trust Tesco to knacker my car up.:rolleyes:0 -
The last time Tesco did this they reduced the amount of fuel you would get in one filling, I have a 150 litre fuel tank, Tesco's pump's normally fill to 100 Litres and cut out then you have to reset them, When this offer was on they stopped filling at 50 Litres, Half of your allowance!!! What do you get when you enquire?

Filled up around 88 litres today (£89), no problems then it cut out, I've asked before and aparently it is on a time cutout as well as a 100 litre limit, So if you are unlucky to get a slow 'clicking' pump that doesnt like your nozzle (oo eer) it can soon cut out at the limit. Still almost £5 off isnt bad = 10% off shop - plus the 88 points = £3.52 in deals:TPraying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

The terms of the offer are up to 100 litres and one vehicle. If your pump cuts out before the 100 litres simply put the nozzle back and then start again. Both lots will be added together by the till person, and you get the full discount.0
