good luck everyone:beer:Our mortgage 'opened' yesterday, got the txt from them to tell us as well :j .
Its funny to go online and see the mortgage balance etc.
Ours went fairly smoothly towards the end but, as we are in Scotland, it did get handed over to our solicitor who dealt with it all. Just need to claim FD for the fees and hoping that goes ok.
Do you know pamelab21, this is one thing I'm really looking forward to too. I've never been able to access my mortgages online. Been with Abbey for the last 5 years.0 -
Finally some good news. :j
Legal documents were sent by FD on Monday and received by solicitor today. The solicitor had not read them when my son phoned but asked my son to read his copy and she would read her copy this afternoon. As far as I can gather from previous posts only the solicitor gets a copy of the legal documents - is this correct? When does my son get a copy if at all?
I assume all will be well now as solicitor should be able to organise getting the funds from FD.
Updated timeline.
presumably the solicitor will go through it with him.0 -

goodluck mrsm,
that was an option for me, to contact my current lender for them to fax to f.d.
but f.d now have my redemption fee, although it doesnt include the latest payment i made, so i will have to claim it back.
f.d - fax number for mortgage dept is 0113 2367190 in case you need it, but you also need your ref no on it too.0 -
Yup, that's the mumber I have too:D
Have done a header with my ID no and my Husband will fax in the morning so hopefully all will be good. My last payment is on it but its dated 4/3 so they'll have to add some interest.
I asked about the legal Doc and its showing as received but still needed checking. Still not long now (hope the funds are through soon this months CC bill is  as it includes the £299 booking fee plus the deposit we paid for our new boiler and the skip we needed to clear the lost so they can come fit it:rotfl:)0 -
Quick Question.....
If re-mortgaging to FD's Fixed rate offset product from a different mortgage lender then I have been told that there are no legal fees for me to pay externally as these are covered by the arrangement fee - all I have to pay in addition to the arrangement fee and booking fee is for the valuation, Is this correct? I live in England.
