not here. Paid mine last Mon. nd still nothing, although I did check the rate was booked. I was wondering if they're not taking until you're approved so they don't have to process refunds if they turn you down?

TBH I could do with them not taking mine until the after 3rd then it goes on my next credit card bill (oh hum another month of eating carboard for dinner :rotfl:)

Gah, for one moment I felt so sick and . I just had another application form from FD with a covering note to complete all mandatory fields. We hadn't signed it:mad:.

Then I looked calmed down, looked closely and realised it is an amended one where they had retyped it with the loan info & my additional income info.

So looks like we're still moving forward
  • A company called Independent Valuations Ltd have written to say they have taken payment and will complete the external valuation within 4 working days for FD

This was dated Thursday 21 Feb which suprised me as I only recieved the morgage offer on the 23rd.

Very efficient so looks like the pace is picking up nicely.:T

We had the same a few days after we sent the original application form except there were loads of errors where someone had mistyped the information. I called them and they confirmed it was incorrectly sent out and to ignore it but I'm glad it was as I got to correct a lot of the information that would have held up the application such as our address!
  • allan673 - I paid mine around same time as you and it still hasn't been taken.

mrsm - I had a second app sent to me as well. I checked up with fd and they said it was caused by inputting our app from the current a/c to mortgage system.

Hope all goes well on your valuation drinkduffbeer.

update, just got off the phone to f.d, i thought i would ring for an update as wage slips etc were returned to me today.
they said it has been approved, and i am just waiting for the mortgage offer to be sent out - hopefully i will receive it within 7 days !, then get the valuation done - presumably its arranged by f.d when i sign and return the offer document?
all seems to be going well so far.
p.s - thanks everyone for keeping this thread going, its very handy for us that are remortgaging with f.d
  • Glad its all going through for you LostSocks. Expecting an agreement anytime soon.

BTW does anyone know if there's a time constraint by FD between exchanging and completing? I was asked by the EA as some lenders request say 2 weeks.

    Great news allen673

FD instructed the valuation before I had even seen my offer document. Suprised me a bit but not complaining

thankyou, what did the offer document consist of? was it just a simple sign and return form? and did it state the amount you want to borrow?

just wondering about the amount because they dont get a redemption fee from my current lender untill after i return the offer document do they?
  • Great news allan673, not be long now.

Helpmemove - I hope there isn't a timescale you have to keep to. We have been supposedly exchanging (still hasn't happened) for the past two weeks without a completion date. We will then be given a 10 day notice period to complete and currently we are aiming for the 1st week in april. We are in rental at the moment, so looks like we are going to have an overlap in rent and mortgage. Thank goodness we have some savings to be able to do this.
