Have a transaction on my statement simply saying 'M S E Commerce' which I don't recognise. Anyone any ideas where it might be from?

Hi,
As maesmummy says it is M&S and I normally see this when I buy online for flowers or gift cards.
I questioned it when I got one of my statements as it didn't make sense.
Maybe you bought something for Christmas/gift for someone online.
Cheers

Just had the same problem. I could not figure out who they are, a quick google and found this thread, then I realised it was a wine purchase...

I had the same panic and seeing your input after a google search, cancelled my card only to find out it is Marks and Spencers. It would be nice if they used their proper name.0

Me too - panic over!0

I have discovered today that is a trading name for marks and spencer. It shows up on your cc statement for anything purchased over the internet and uses groceries as its category. Bit confusing; do not see why they have to use a different trading name.0
